Bangkok: Bangkok residents are advised not to be alarmed as the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is set to conduct a simulated midnight disaster response exercise at the BTS Surasak station on the night of August 21st.
According to Thai News Agency, the exercise aims to evaluate the readiness of the city's emergency medical system and ensure effective integration with partner agencies during critical patient transfers. The large-scale drill will feature emergency teams mobilized from the Erawan Center in Bangkok, who will practice controlling and triaging patients at the scene of a simulated public disaster incident.
The exercise will also include a realistic patient transport simulation to Lerdsin Hospital, with BMA executives overseeing the operation. The drill is scheduled to start on Friday, August 21, 2069, at 11:00 PM and will run until 4:00 AM the following morning, August 22, 2069. Officials emphasized that this is a training exercise and not a real emergency event.
