Bangkok: The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has mandated the temporary closure of three well-known restaurants situated in the Rama 1 area of Pathumwan district, Charansanitwong area of Bangkok Noi district, and Phetchaburi area of Ratchathewi district, due to non-compliance with safety standards. The decision underscores the BMA's commitment to ensuring public safety, as violators could face up to six months of imprisonment, a fine of up to 50,000 baht, or both.

According to Thai News Agency, Bangkok Governor Chatchart Sittipunt has initiated a comprehensive enhancement of safety protocols for businesses, entertainment venues, and similar establishments throughout the city. He has tasked all 50 districts with collaborating closely with the police to execute proactive and rigorous inspection operations.

The temporary closure serves as a stern reminder to establishments in the Rama 1, Charansanitwong, and Phetchaburi areas to adhere strictly to safety regulations. Establishments that fail to comply not only risk closure but also face potential legal repercussions, including fines of up to 25,000 baht per day.
