Bangkok: MPs from the People's Democratic Party have expressed their gratitude to Bangkok residents for participating in the recent Bangkok Governor and Bangkok City Council elections.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Piyarat Jongthep and Mr. Suphanat Meenchainan, along with other MPs from the People's Party, held a press conference at the Parliament building. They extended their heartfelt thanks to the citizens for exercising their voting rights, acknowledging their role in shaping the future of the city's governance.
During the press event, Mr. Jongthep and Mr. Meenchainan congratulated Mr. Chatchart Sittipunt on his election as the Bangkok Governor, as well as all elected members of the Bangkok City Council. They expressed enthusiasm for collaborative efforts to advance key initiatives, particularly the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Act.
The People's Party MPs emphasized their commitment to prioritizing important agendas for Bangkok. They also mentioned that a further statement would be forthcoming regarding the People's Party's involvement in the city council. Apologizing for not being able to extend individual thanks to all voters due to the council's four-day session, the MPs assured that they would personally visit and thank the public following the conclusion of the sessions over the weekend.
