Bangkok: Bangkok is preparing to announce the official results of the recent gubernatorial and city council elections this week.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Narong Ruangsri, the Permanent Secretary of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Director of the Bangkok Local Election Commission, participated in a meeting to review the election operations. The meeting received a summary report following the elections on June 28th, which proceeded without major issues.

Mr. Khajit Chatchavanich, Chairman of the Bangkok Metropolitan Local Election Commission, alongside Mr. Narong Ruangsri, expressed gratitude to those involved in facilitating a smooth electoral process. The vote counting was completed, and a summary report was submitted to the Director of the Bangkok Metropolitan Local Election Commission around midnight on June 28, 2026. The certification of election results for all 50 districts is anticipated this week.

Additionally, the meeting focused on evaluating lessons from this election to identify challenges and develop strategies to prevent similar issues in future elections. The objective is to ensure that upcoming elections are conducted efficiently and effectively.
