Lan sak: A fight broke out in the middle of the market. A pork butcher couldn’t stand it anymore and threw a pork bone at the butcher’s eye socket across the street. He was furious and yelled at everyone, accusing someone of putting a curse on him. CCTV footage captured a brawl at a fresh market in Lan Sak District, Uthai Thani Province. The clip shows a commotion between vendors and pork butchers at the market, leading to the rioting of pork bones. The incident occurred when a pork butcher on the opposite side couldn’t stand the yelling of the injured vendor after she complained loudly that someone had cast a spell on her, using buffalo hide and nettle, which annoyed nearby residents. The vendor then angrily threw the pork bones he was chopping at the vendor’s eye socket, injuring her.
According to Thai News Agency, the news team spoke with 56-year-old Ms. Khanthong, also known as “Aunt Mouth,” after she filed a police report at Lan Sak Police Station. She revealed that she had no problem with the pork vendor. However, two days before the incident, she had had an argument with her niece, who also sells pork. She had been unwell, and she had asked, “Have you been cursed?” The argument escalated. On the day of the incident, while she was cutting pork, the butcher on the opposite side of the street threw a pork bone, striking her right eye socket, injuring her.
Mr. Sakon, also known as Uncle Noi, a 63-year-old pork butcher, revealed that he was chopping pork bones to sell at the fresh market when the other party started yelling loudly throughout the market, accusing him of putting something on them. The surrounding vendors, including himself, had been annoyed by the noise for two days, so he immediately picked up the pork bones he was chopping to sell and threw them at him. He didn’t intend to aim them directly in the eye socket, but he did so because he couldn’t hold back any longer due to his frequent rowdy behavior.
