Beijing:During the National Day holiday, Beijing welcomed more than 23 million tourists, generating significant revenue.
According to Thai News Agency, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism reported that from October 1st to 7th, the city received 23.45 million visitors, resulting in tourism spending of approximately 29.5 billion yuan, or about 148 billion baht.
Popular destinations for tourists included Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, Liangma Riverfront, Olympic Forest Park, Xidan District, Tiananmen Square, Qianmen Pedestrian Street, Temple of Heaven Park, Shichahai District, Nanluoguxiang Street, and the Summer Palace.
The city organized over 3,000 cultural and tourism activities during the holiday, featuring cultural tours, nighttime riverside sightseeing, and opportunities to explore Beijing's core areas and learn about intangible cultural heritage.
Additionally, cultural centers and libraries throughout Beijing held 986 events focused on reading, cultural heritage, and performing arts, attracting over 500,000 participants.
