Bhumipat Vows to Tackle Flooding and Infrastructure Challenges in Don Mueang

Bangkok: "Bhumipat" volunteers to solve problems and develop Don Mueang as he remains unfazed by analyses suggesting the possible decline of the Pheu Thai Party in Bangkok. Mr. Phumiphat Hosakul, a candidate for Member of Parliament from the Pheu Thai Party, is determined to develop Don Mueang, his birthplace, addressing its challenges head-on.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumiphat emphasized his deep-rooted connection to Don Mueang, having spent 26 years living and growing up in the area. Despite being the son of former Bangkok MP Mr. Karun Hosakul, he stressed that politics is about addressing community issues and providing tangible relief to the residents. He believes that the community should be the primary beneficiary of his efforts.

Mr. Phumiphat expressed his vision for a new beginning in Don Mueang, advocating for innovative solutions and approaches inspired by the younger generation. He acknowledged his father's advisory role while emphasizing the need for fresh ideas to address modern issues. While he respects the wisdom of the older generation, he is committed to applying new strategies for contemporary challenges.

Flooding is identified as the most pressing issue for Don Mueang residents. Mr. Phumiphat believes that advancements in technology, such as AI, can aid in real-time water management to mitigate flooding. He proposed infrastructural improvements like dredging drainage pipes and upgrading roads to accommodate increased water volume. Additionally, he highlighted the need for enhanced mosquito control, animal vaccinations, and road safety measures.

Mr. Phumiphat also addressed concerns about ongoing road construction on Chang Akat Uthit Road, assuring residents that current difficulties are typical and will improve. He is collaborating with district officials to resolve traffic congestion caused by unclear road signage.

Despite analyses predicting a challenging future for the Pheu Thai Party in Bangkok, Mr. Phumiphat remains unfazed.
