Bangkok: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, along with other party leaders, welcomed the Pheu Thai Party delegation led by party leader Julaphan Amornvivat. The delegation, which included deputy leaders Chusak Sirinil and Sudawan Wangsupakitkosol, arrived to submit names for the positions of the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Pheu Thai Party's ministerial quota. This meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere and is expected to involve discussions on voting for the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives, as well as the Prime Minister.
According to Thai News Agency, as Mr. Chulaphan stepped out of his vehicle, he greeted the Bhumjaithai Party leaders and noticed Mr. Anutin waiting to welcome him. Mr. Chulaphan quickly approached with a smile, to which Mr. Anutin responded with a warm remark, "I've been waiting for you for a long time," before they shared an embrace, further enhancing the cordial atmosphere. Following this exchange, the leaders from both parties proceeded into the party headquarters for their discussions.
This meeting marks the first encounter since Mr. Chulaphan's hospitalization, which had previously prevented him from attending the joint government press conference at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters.
