Bangkok: "Pom Pichanont," a Bhumjaithai Party MP for Trat, criticized the opposition for disseminating misinformation and called for the continuation of the TH-AI Passport project aimed at educational advancement. He questioned whether the opposition fears that public benefit from the project might lead to a loss of political points.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pichanon Ingprasarn, also known as "Kamnan Pom," a Member of Parliament for Trat Province, Constituency 1, from the Bhumjaithai Party, has recently voiced strong opinions against the opposition's criticism and calls to halt the AI technology procurement initiative for education. Mr. Pichanon emphasized that while it is essential for the opposition to monitor the government's transparency, their actions must be grounded in truth rather than misleading the public.
Mr. Pichanon highlighted the significant potential for students to access high-quality AI educational resources at no cost, which would otherwise be prohibitively expensive. He suggested that the opposition's call for cancellation might arise from concerns that millions of people benefiting from the project could erode their political standing.
He further stressed the importance of addressing any doubts or suspicions about transparency and corruption through legal channels. This approach aligns with democratic principles and ensures that the truth is not distorted, and the project's benefits for youth and the public are adequately considered.
