Bangkok: Attention is focused on the Bhumjaithai Party's potential unveiling of four MPs from the Prachachart Party who will support Anutin Charnvirakul as Prime Minister. However, Pol. Col. Tawee will not attend the unveiling. Meanwhile, Capt. Thamanat has not yet traveled abroad but has called an urgent meeting of senior officials at the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to Thai News Agency, the Bhumjaithai Party is expected to present four MPs from the Prachachart Party who will back Anutin Charnvirakul's bid for Prime Minister. Notably, Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong, the leader of the Prachachart Party, will be absent from the unveiling event, as he is reportedly concentrating on his political aspirations with the Pheu Thai Party. With the support of these four Prachachart MPs, the government now commands a total of 290 votes. Should the Kla Tham Party join the coalition, an additional 58 votes would be secured.
In related developments, Captain Thamanat Phromphao, who serves as the chairman of the advisory board of the Kla Tham Party, has not departed for overseas travel as previously intended. Instead, he has convened an urgent meeting with senior officials at the Ministry of Agriculture. A considerable number of journalists have gathered at the ministry in anticipation of further announcements.
Meanwhile, the recount results in Constituency 7 of Pathum Thani Province, specifically concerning advance and overseas ballots, indicate that the People's Party candidate still maintains a lead over the Bhumjaithai Party candidate by a margin of one vote at this polling station. Despite this narrow lead, the overall election result remains unchanged, with the Bhumjaithai Party emerging victorious.
