Big Dul Hosts Tong Jun for Breakfast at Famous Congee Spot in Bangkok, Strengthening Thai-Chinese Defense Ties

Bangkok: "Big Dul," Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, the Minister of Defence of Thailand, treated Admiral Dong Jun, the Minister of National Defence of the People's Republic of China, to a breakfast at the renowned Jok Prince restaurant in Bangkok's Bang Rak district before Admiral Dong Jun's departure back to China. This meeting highlighted the ongoing commitment to strengthening Thai-Chinese defense relations through comprehensive security cooperation.

According to Thai News Agency, the breakfast meeting provided an opportunity for an informal exchange of views, further cementing the good relations between the defense leaders of both nations. This followed their bilateral discussions on July 24th, during which both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhance cooperation in security and defense under the comprehensive strategic partnership between Thailand and China.

Later in the day, Lieutenant General Adul planned to visit the VIP lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport to bid farewell to Admiral Dong Jun and his delegation as they returned to China. The Chinese delegation's official visit to Thailand signifies a crucial step in building trust and solidarity, while expanding cooperation in areas such as security, training, education, personnel exchange, and defense industry development, contributing to regional stability and security.

Reporters noted that Jok Prince, the venue for the breakfast, is a legendary street food congee shop that has been serving patrons for over 80 years.
