Big O’ Leads Nakhon Si Thammarat By-Election by Over Ten Thousand Votes

Nakhon Si Thammarat: ‘Big O’, a candidate from the Klatham Party, has taken a commanding lead over his competitors in the by-election for Nakhon Si Thammarat MP, Constituency 8, surpassing his nearest rival, ‘Sai’ from the Bhumjaithai Party, by more than ten thousand votes.

According to Thai News Agency, the by-election was necessitated by the Supreme Court’s decision to revoke Ms. Mukdawan Leungsinil’s right to run for election and its order for her to cover the election expenses. As of the latest vote count at 8:30 p.m., Mr. Kongkiat Ketsombat, known as ‘Big O’, from the Klatham Party, was in the lead with 37,294 votes.

Mr. Sai Leuangsinil from the Bhumjaithai Party followed with 26,983 votes. Trailing behind were Mr. Nattakit Yooduang of the Prachachon Party with 6,564 votes, Mr. Chinnaworn Bunyakiat from the Democrat Party with 4,001 votes, Pol. Lt. Col. Kawi Kraithong of the Prom Party with 231 votes, and Mr. Phitsanu Rosmali from the New Alternative Party who garnered 187 votes.
