Bangkok: BKS and Thailand Post have announced a partnership to offer a new 1-day parcel delivery service, marking the fastest delivery option available nationwide. The pilot initiative will be launched at 14 parcel centers across Thailand and will include the establishment of 10 new EMS Point service locations for enhanced public convenience.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Atthavit Rakjamroon, Managing Director of the Transport Company Limited (BKS), and Dr. Danan Suphattraphan, Managing Director of Thailand Post Company Limited, formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This agreement aims to develop and promote efficient parcel delivery services, attended by top executives at the Bangkok Bus Terminal (Chatuchak).
Mr. Atthavit emphasized BKS’s commitment to evolving its package delivery services to meet the contemporary demands for convenience, speed, and safety. The collaboration birthed the ‘BKS X Thailand Post, 1-Day Home Delivery’ project, offering the quickest parcel delivery service in Thailand. The service will initially operate from 14 centers, including major hubs like Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Phuket. Additionally, 10 EMS Point drop-off locations have been established, such as Phichit Bus Terminal and Pattaya Stop, where BKS manages parcel collection and storage, while Thailand Post handles delivery.
This strategic alliance enhances the nation’s parcel delivery framework, linking regions through vital hubs like Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal. BKS will function as a middle-mile network, efficiently integrating parcels into the Thailand Post system. For inquiries, individuals can reach the Parcel Delivery Center at Chatuchak or Mo Chit 2.
Dr. Danan highlighted the synergy between Thailand Post and BKS, leveraging their networks and route expertise to create a “Hub-to-Door” delivery model. This enhancement of the “Hub-to-Hub” framework ensures parcels are swiftly transported from BKS terminals to recipients through postal routes, strengthening user confidence and optimizing the logistics network.
Moreover, Thailand Post’s establishment of EMS Points at 10 bus stations operated by BKS signifies a step towards integrating the logistics system, adding tangible value to the Thai economy. This initiative aligns with governmental policies aimed at propelling the nation forward through an efficient and transparent transport system.
