Prachinburi: The search operation for the two boys who drowned after being caught in a whirlpool at the Laem Phai weir in Thung Pho Subdistrict, Na Di District, Prachinburi Province, has concluded with the recovery of both bodies. The tragic incident occurred when 14-year-old "Nong Korn" and 15-year-old "Nong Tle," who were swimming with friends, were swept away by a strong current and drowned.

According to Thai News Agency, local authorities, along with rescue workers and divers, launched a search operation immediately after the incident. The search was complicated by strong currents and cold, fast-flowing water, with depths reaching approximately 4 meters. The body of "Nong Korn" was found by evening, bringing immense grief to his family. However, "Nong Tle" remained missing, prompting the search to continue until late at night before being temporarily halted.

The search resumed the next day with relatives of both boys performing rituals at the accident site to seek forgiveness from the spirits. Officials took measures to control the water levels by closing the Khun Sri weir upstream. The search efforts continued with underwater exploration and the use of motorboats. By early afternoon, the body of Nong Tle was located about 100 meters from the weir and 20 meters from where Nong Korn's body was discovered, leaving the family and community in mourning over the loss.
