Bangkok: Boy Takonkiet is delighted that Her Majesty the Queen Mother has come to see three stage plays. Always in remembrance, the stage play organizer Boy Takonkiet recounted his impression of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, when she came to see the stage play “Four Reigns” at Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre on January 10, 2012. He said he still remembers every moment when Her Majesty came in person. It is an immeasurable royal grace.
According to Thai News Agency, Her Majesty praised the play, calling it very entertaining and excellent. She also expressed her admiration and spoke with all the actors. Boy Takonkiet still remembers and reminisces about that day to this day. He admits that he is as saddened by Her Majesty’s passing as all Thais. In addition to “Four Reigns,” Her Majesty also saw his first play, “Wiman Muang,” at the Thailand Cultural Center in 1997.
Her Majesty the Queen Mother has attended three of his musicals, including “Balang Mek The Musical.” Boy Takonkiet believes that she came because she wanted to know what the people enjoyed. He vividly remembers the production of “Wiman Muang,” which featured a bar scene and dancing women. He was concerned that it might need to be toned down a bit on the occasion of her visit.
