Bangkok: A 20-year-old woman died this morning from a brewery fire, bringing the death toll to 34. One more death has been reported at the Na Lat Phrao brewery fire, bringing the total fatality to 34.
According to Thai News Agency, the Erawan Center has provided an update on those injured in the Na Ladprao Brewery fire as of July 19th, 9:00 AM. A total of 77 individuals sustained injuries in the incident, with 47 having been discharged from medical care. However, 23 individuals remain hospitalized, 13 of whom are in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while 10 are in regular wards. Tragically, 7 individuals have succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, with the latest death reported at 5:00 AM. The deceased, identified as Ms. Apinya, was only 20 years old and died at Phramongkutklao Hospital after spending a week in the ICU.
Police Major General Kiatikul Sonthinern, commander of Metropolitan Police Division 2, has revealed the progress of the ongoing investigation into the devastating fire at the brewery in Lat Phrao. Investigators at Phaholyothin Police Station have conducted interviews with a total of 126 witnesses, including injured individuals, brewery employees, and relatives of the deceased. The investigation into the cause of the fire and the results of forensic examinations are still being coordinated and are expected to be available soon.
