Bangkok: Fire victims from a brewery incident were moved after 72 hours, following their insurance coverage terms, as confirmed by the authorities. The fire, which had been extinguished earlier, led to several injuries, and the transfer of patients has been a topic of discussion due to concerns over their stability and safety.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pattana Promphat, Minister of Public Health, addressed the situation involving a sound engineer who succumbed to injuries sustained in the brewery fire in Lat Phrao. The patient's wife had objected to his transfer to another hospital after the 72-hour period covered by insurance for critically ill emergency patients. Mr. Pattana stated the importance of reviewing the details of the case, emphasizing that the first 7-14 days are critical for patients with severe burns and extensive damage.

When questioned about the decision to transfer patients after three days of treatment, despite objections from family members, Mr. Pattana reiterated his intention to review the specifics of the case. He explained that the agreement necessitates that receiving hospitals must be capable of providing adequate care for the transferred patients. Additionally, both the originating and receiving medical teams are required to evaluate the potential impacts of the transfer on the patient's condition. Mr. Pattana requested that the doctors involved offer a detailed treatment plan to ensure the safety and well-being of the transferred patients.
