Bridge Repairs in Chonburi Cause Traffic Delays

Chonburi: When traveling to Chonburi, allow extra time for travel as several bridges are under maintenance.

According to Thai News Agency, the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) advises expressway users traveling towards Chonburi to allow extra travel time due to ongoing bridge repair work causing traffic slowdowns.

The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) would like to inform road users traveling towards Chonburi Province that several bridge construction and maintenance projects are currently underway in the area, which may cause traffic slowdowns and inconvenience.

Upon exiting the Chonburi toll plaza, motorists will encounter bridge construction at the intersection near the Chonburi bypass entrance. Traffic will be diverted and some lanes will be closed for construction. Further along the bypass road, two more lanes on the Sukprayoon Bridge will be closed for repairs, resulting in traffic congestion and slower-than-normal movement. Alternatively, those using the Burapha Vithee Expressway may use the Bang Pakong exit to avoid the congestion.

The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) requests cooperation from road users to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra travel time, and strictly follow all warning signs, directional signs, and instructions from personnel in the area for safe travel.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank the public for their cooperation in using the route safely.
