Bruno Fernandes Reveals Pain Over Potential Manchester United Departure

Manchester: Bruno Fernandes, the captain and midfielder of Manchester United, has expressed his emotional turmoil over the club’s intention to let him go last summer.

According to Thai News Agency, Fernandes, who has been a pivotal player for the English Premier League giants, was the subject of a significant bid from Al Hilal, a prominent club in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi club offered £100 million (approximately 4.4 billion baht) for Fernandes’ transfer, a proposal that the 31-year-old ultimately declined, opting instead to remain with Manchester United.

Despite his decision to stay, Fernandes disclosed in a November interview with Canal 11, a Portuguese television station, that he was “hurt” and “sad” upon learning of Manchester United’s willingness to consider his sale for a substantial fee. The Portuguese international’s revelations underline the personal impact of transfer negotiations on players, even those deeply committed to their current clubs.
