Bangkok: BYD, a global clean energy vehicle brand and official sponsor of Thai football, is extending its influence in Asian football by facilitating a cross-border youth football initiative. The “XiaoJiang U10” youth team from China has been invited to Thailand for training, cultural exchange, and participation in the “Asian Youth Champions Cup” scheduled from October 27 to November 2, 2025.

According to Thai News Agency, the primary objective of the initiative is to enhance youth football skills through competitive matches with Thai teams and training sessions with professional coaches. The program also aims to foster international camaraderie and underscores BYD’s commitment to nurturing sustainable football development in Asia.

The event officially commenced on October 26th, when the XiaoJiang team attended a Thai League 1 match featuring True Bangkok United and Lamphun Warriors at True BG Stadium. During this visit, the young Chinese players had the opportunity to engage with players from True Bangkok United, one of Thailand’s premier clubs, providing them with firsthand experience of the vibrant Thai football environment.

Throughout the week-long program, the XiaoJiang team will engage in training and practice sessions with Thai youth teams before competing in the Asian Youth Champions Cup on November 1-2. In addition, the team will explore BYD Thailand’s showroom and exhibition center to gain insights into the brand’s clean energy initiatives and innovative concepts.

This initiative exemplifies BYD’s dedication to being a pivotal force in advancing Asian football, focusing on youth development, sports, and environmental sustainability. It aligns with the brand’s philosophy of “Charging Thai Football, Charging the Nation.”
