Bangkok: The Cabinet approved the adjustment of public land in Pluak Daeng District, for the expansion of the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, to be managed by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) to support the industrial sector.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Cabinet approved the draft Royal Decree to change the status of public land for common use by citizens in the general industrial zone of the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong) expansion, in Tasit Subdistrict, Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province, to become the property of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), as proposed by the Ministry of Industry.
To change the status of public land, when villagers ceased using two plots totaling approximately 1 rai and 36.9 square wah within the general industrial zone of the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (Rayong) expansion, the land will become the property of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT). IEAT has paid the Ministry of Finance a total of 4 million baht for the land and will use it to develop the industrial estate into a continuous plot to accommodate industrial operations.
