Cabinet passes budget to care for newborns up to 6 years, 990 million baht

The Cabinet has passed a budget to care for newborns up to 6 years of age, amounting to 990 million baht. Tomorrow (14 Sep.), the money will go into the base of the Comptroller General's Department. to distribute to the public

Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security or MSD, said after today's cabinet meeting that Thank you to the Prime Minister for including the agenda as proposed by the MSD as an urgent agenda. And a budget of 990 million baht has been passed. Tomorrow (Sept. 14), the money will go into the base of the Comptroller General's Department. To be distributed to people to take care of over 2,000,000 newborn children by September 18th. For citizens who are eligible, namely newborn children up to 6 years of age, household income must not exceed 100,000 baht per year.
