Bangkok: The Cabinet Secretary has disclosed plans to submit documents today that clarify the emergency decree concerning a 400 billion baht borrowing plan to the Constitutional Court, marking the end of the designated deadline for submission.
According to Thai News Agency, the Secretary-General of the Cabinet, Ms. Natthajaree Anantasilsin, explained the process of clarifying the issuance of the substantial loan decree. The Cabinet has tasked several key governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Finance, the National Economic and Social Development Council, the Ministry of Energy, and the Council of State, to collaborate on the preparation of joint clarifications with the Cabinet Secretariat. These documents have been finalized and will be submitted to the Prime Minister for subsequent forwarding to the Constitutional Court on the last permissible day of the seven-day deadline. Once submitted, it will be up to the Court to decide if further clarifications from individuals are necessary.
Additionally, Mr. Anan Kaewkamnerd, Director of the Budget Bureau, confirmed that a draft explanation had been compiled and forwarded as a comprehensive statement. The Cabinet Secretariat is responsible for proceeding with this explanation to ensure clarity on the decree.
Furthermore, Mr. Noppadol Pheriruek, Secretary-General of the Council of State, noted that the draft statement had already been reviewed by the Council of State, ensuring that all necessary protocols have been observed before submission to the Court.
