Callum McFarlane to Lead Chelsea in Premier League Clash Against Fulham

London: Chelsea have Callum McFarlane in charge for their away game against Fulham on Wednesday.

According to Thai News Agency, Chelsea are prepared to give Callum McFarlane responsibility for the first team's away match against Fulham in the Premier League on Wednesday, while the club continues negotiations with Liam Rosenior as their prospective new manager.

Chelsea have parted ways with Enzo Maresca by mutual agreement and are preparing to appoint Strasbourg head coach Rosenior as their new manager. The London club have entrusted the crucial responsibilities to McFarlane, the club's U21 coach, on an interim basis.

In his debut as manager, McFarlane guided his team to a 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Sunday, thanks to a goal from Enzo Fernandez. It is believed that Rosenior will begin his duties in Wednesday's game against Fulham, as he travelled from France to England on Sunday.

However, as of January 5th, Sky Sports and several other media outlets reported that McFarlane will work one more game because Rosenior, the 41-year-old coach and former Fulham player, is scheduled to hold a farewell press conference for Strasbourg on Tuesday. Furthermore, the Blueco group, which owns two clubs in the Premier League and Ligue 1, hopes that their French club will find a new coach first.

Therefore, McFarlane will hold a press conference on Tuesday before managing his team in another match against their city rivals as his final game, while Rosenior will begin his duties with the team's FA Cup third-round away match against Charlton this Saturday.
