Cambodian media group visits MCOT

A delegation of 10 media personnel from the Cambodian Journalists Association (CCJ), led by Mrs. THONG Sovanrainsey, Secretary-General of the Cambodian Journalists Association, and Mr. Panathan Thongbounyu, First Secretary of the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, paid a courtesy call and exchanged media business ideas with the executives of MCOT Public Company Limited. They were welcomed by Mr. Kittipong Khanthirat, Deputy Managing Director for Corporate Management. The issue that the Cambodian media group was particularly interested in asking about was how the Thai News Agency checks and prevents the dissemination of fake news, including what aspects of news reporting from Cambodia are included. The media group traveled to Thailand under the Thai-Cambodian media exchange program under the cooperation between the Thai Journalists Association and the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh. In addition to the visit to discuss, MCOT Public Company Limited also gave the Cambodian media an opportunity to train with units within MCOT Public Company Limited for 5 days, namely training in television news reporting, radio news reporting and program production.
