Candidates Flock to Chachoengsao as Parliamentary Election Registration Begins

Chachoengsao: Chachoengsao is buzzing with activity as candidates from all four constituencies step forward to contest the election. The atmosphere on the first day of registration for parliamentary elections in Chachoengsao was lively, with candidates from both incumbent and new faces, from major and minor parties, vying for the top spot.

According to Thai News Agency, in all four constituencies, candidates, both incumbents and newcomers, from major and minor parties, continuously arrived since morning. Among them were Ms. Thitima Chaisang from the Pheu Thai Party, Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn from the Kla Tham Party (Minister of Tourism and Sports), and Chief Petty Officer Yotsing Liemlert from the Kla Tham Party (Deputy Minister of Industry). Veteran politicians such as Mr. Chaturon Chaisang, Mr. Somchai Asavachaisophon, and Mr. Itthi Sirilatthayakorn also came to support their candidates. Each candidate hopes to receive an early number, considering it auspicious. They prepared stickers to affix to their campaign signs after learning their numbers from the lottery, in order to begin campaigning in their areas immediately today. Reporters stated that 18 candidates registered.

Meanwhile, Mr. Pongprakarn Sothonthewapithak, Director of the Election Commission of Chachoengsao Province, revealed that the Chachoengsao Election Commission is fully prepared for all steps, from registration and lottery drawings to qualification checks and application submissions. A lottery will be held to determine the order of application submissions. The registration period for candidates for the House of Representatives in the constituency-based elections will take place from December 27-31, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the meeting room of the Sufficiency Economy Learning Center, Mueang Chachoengsao District Office.
