“Chai” Engages with Voters at Tha Sala Market, Calls for Political Neutrality

Bangkok: Tha Sala Morning Market, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province: Mr. Chaichana Dechdecho, Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party responsible for the Southern region, and Mr. Patiwat Yutitham, candidate for Member of Parliament for Nakhon Si Thammarat Constituency 8, number 6, made an appearance at the Tha Sala morning market to engage with the public, introduce the candidate, and listen to local concerns.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaichana noted that constituents voiced suspicions regarding candidates from other political parties falsely claiming affiliation with the Democrat Party. Despite these claims, residents expressed unwavering support for Democrat Party candidates and backed Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva for Prime Minister, as they believe he can address agricultural price issues and the economic crisis in Thailand.

Mr. Chaichana highlighted the potential of Tha Sala District, a university town with a medical center, to evolve into a major educational, medical, and tourist hub in Southern Thailand. He stressed the need to transform the area into a vibrant tourist destination with attractive beaches and activities for both Thai and international visitors.

Additionally, Mr. Chaichana urged civil servants to maintain neutrality, avoiding favoritism towards any political party, reiterating the Prime Minister's directive for all Ministry of Interior officials to remain impartial during elections.

Meanwhile, Mr. Patiwat expressed confidence despite trailing his competitors in polls. Having visited every district and participated in various community events, he received positive feedback, bolstering his belief in overtaking rivals as the election approaches.
