Bangkok: Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, has publicly stated that he does not know Wittaya Khampuang, who has been implicated in a Senate collusion case.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Parit Wacharasindhu, a list-based Member of Parliament from the People's Party, has presented evidence suggesting collusion in the Senate election. The allegations link Wittaya Khampuang, the mayor of Phonsa Subdistrict in Tha Bo District, Nong Khai Province, to the Bhumjaithai Party. Despite these claims, Mr. Chaiyanok maintains that he is unfamiliar with the details of the case and has no personal acquaintance with Wittaya.
Mr. Chaiyanok made these remarks before attending a Cabinet meeting, emphasizing his lack of knowledge about the specifics of the case and his unfamiliarity with Wittaya. The situation continues to develop as more information becomes available.
