“Chaiwat” hopes fellow MPs will use legislative power to its full potential.

Parliament, "Chaiwat" informed the parliament meeting that the Constitutional Court dissolved the Move Forward Party and thanked the chairman and fellow members, hoping that fellow MPs would use the legislative power that the people elected to be worthwhile and truly democratic. As for "Dr. Ong", he concluded that the highest power belongs to the people before closing the meeting to bid farewell to his position. At 3:50 p.m., the House of Representatives meeting, which is considering the draft Land Transport Act (No. ..) B.E. ... proposed by Mr. Suchet Prawinwongwut, MP for the Move Forward Party and his group, Mr. Chaithawat Tulathan, leader of the Move Forward Party and leader of the opposition, stood up and said in the meeting that since the Constitutional Court ruled to dissolve the Move Forward Party and disqualify the party's executive committee, he would like to inform the chairman that he, Mr. Chaithawat Tulathan and the party's executive committee, Mr. Apichart Sirisunthon, Ms. Bencha Saengchan, Mr . Suthep U-on and Mr. Pita Limjaroenrat will no longer be able to perform their duties as representatives of the people. Finally, I would like to thank the President and all the fellow members of the House of Representatives for working together and it is a great honor that we have spent our time as representatives working hard to push forward what we believe is the future of the country. In the end, we probably will not have the opportunity to work with all of you again for at least another 5, 10 years, but I hope that after this, fellow members of the House of Representatives will be able to use their power and duty in the legislative branch as the people's choice to become the only political institution in the country that is appointed by the people in a worthwhile manner and to make our democracy with the King as Head of State a true democracy, with the highest power belonging to the people. After that, Mr. Padipat Santipada, the second deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, who acted as the ch airman of the meeting, thanked everyone and said that it was an honor to work with everyone. He wanted to tell all the civil servants at this parliament that he really respects and thanks them. In the end, the highest power belongs to the people. He then immediately closed the meeting. Then, Mr. Chaithawat, along with the party executives who are MPs, left the parliament. Mr. Chaithawat had an indifferent expression, raised his fist, and asked not to give an interview to the media, saying that he would return to the party together. Then, before getting into the van to leave, Mr. Chaithawat turned back, raised his fist and said, "I will come back again ." Source: Thai News Agency
