Chaiyanok Denies Being Bhumjaithai Party’s Prime Ministerial Candidate

Bangkok: Chaiyanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, emphatically denies being on the party’s list of prime ministerial candidates. He referred questions about Ekniti Nitithanpraphas to Anutin, the Prime Minister, and reiterated his desire to gain more political experience before considering such a role.

According to Thai News Agency, Chaiyanok made it clear that revealing the complete list of candidates is the Prime Minister’s responsibility as the leader of the party. He expressed his wish to continue learning and gaining experience in politics before taking on the role of a prime ministerial candidate.

When asked about Ekniti Nitithanpraphas’s denial of rumors regarding his candidacy, Chaiyanok declined to elaborate, explaining that it was a matter discussed privately. He suggested directing such inquiries to the Prime Minister for further clarification.

Chaiyanok also chose not to comment on the potential “surprise” in the party’s policy statement scheduled for tomorrow. He highlighted the sensitivity of the issue, especially with the election approaching, and urged everyone to await the official announcement from the Prime Minister. Regarding the registration of party-list MPs on December 28th, party leaders anticipate the process will go ahead as expected, although the precise format will depend on the party leader’s decision.
