Bangkok: Channel 9 MCOT HD (Channel 30) will be broadcasting live the 2026 Asian Games. "Bew" Puripol Boonsorn and "View" Kulavut Vitidsarn invite Thai sports fans to tune in and cheer on all Thai athletes.
According to Thai News Agency, the 20th Asian Games, "Aichi-Nagoya 2026," will be held in Japan from September 19th to October 4th, with 461 gold medals up for grabs across 43 sports. More than 11,000 athletes from 45 countries across Asia will participate. The Thai delegation, comprising 986 athletes and officials from 43 sports associations, will compete.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Sports Authority of Thailand, and the National Sports Development Fund, in collaboration with government agencies and private sector partners, have announced their readiness to broadcast live the 20th Asian Games and the 5th Asian Para Games, "Aichi-Nagoya 2026," from Japan. This will allow Thais nationwide to follow the competitions and cheer on the Thai athletes through digital television and online platforms.
The 20th Asian Games will be broadcast on 7 digital TV channels: NBT, T Sports 7, Channel 9 MCOT HD, ONE 31, MONOMAX SPORTS TV, Thairath TV 32, and PPTV HD from September 10th to October 4th, 2026. Meanwhile, AIS PLAY will offer viewing of both sporting events, with the Asian Para Games to be broadcast live from October 16th to 24th.
Mr. Surasak Panjaroenvorakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports and chairman of the press conference, expressed confidence in Thai athletes' performance and invited Thai sports fans to cheer and support all athletes through the live broadcast.
Also present at the press conference were Dr. Kongsak Yodmani, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand; Mr. Tanukiart Chanchum, Manager of the National Sports Development Fund; and Mr. Sommai Suwanwong, Deputy Managing Director, Product Division, MCOT Public Company Limited, who jointly announced their readiness.
"Bew" Puripol Boonsorn, a young Thai national sprinter, and "View" Kulavut Vitidsarn, a Thai national badminton player, both stated that they are ready to compete and aim for medals at the Asian Games. They asked sports fans to watch the live broadcast and cheer on all Thai athletes.
Sky Sharper, a Thai national swimmer and son of actress Metinee Kingpayom, expressed his joy at competing in his first Asian Games, aiming for the best possible performance and asking fans to cheer him on. His mother, meanwhile, was delighted that her son would be representing the nation.
The Sports Authority of Thailand aims to win at least 15 gold medals and finish 6th on the medal table at this Asian Games. They invite Thai sports fans to cheer on Thailand as they watch the games unfold.
