Bangkok: Mr. Chaow Kengchan has been selected as a new member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jiranuwat Thanyacharoen, Secretary of the Bank of Thailand Board, announced that during the Bank of Thailand Board meeting held on July 30, 2025, Mr. Chaow Kengchon was appointed as a qualified member of the MPC. He is set to replace Mr. Rungroj Rangsiyopas, who resigned before the expiration of his term.

The appointment of Mr. Chaow Kengchon will be effective from September 2, 2025. He will serve for the remainder of Mr. Rungroj’s term, which concludes on October 31, 2026.
