Chao Phraya Express Boat Cuts Fares Due to Fuel Price Drop

Bangkok: Chao Phraya Express Boat is reducing fares by 1 baht, starting April 17th. Chao Phraya Express Boat has announced a 1 baht reduction in fares for all types of boats due to a decrease in diesel fuel prices to 44.45 baht per liter. The reduction will take effect Friday, April 17, 2026.

According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant Commander Charoenporn Charoentham, Managing Director of Chao Phraya Express Boat Co., Ltd., a passenger boat service provider on the Chao Phraya River between Pak Kret Pier and Wat Ratchasingkhon Pier, stated that due to the decrease in diesel fuel prices by 4 baht to 44.45 baht per liter on April 11, 2026, the company will reduce fares for all types of boats by 1 baht from the original rate, effective Friday, April 17, 2026.

The Orange Flag Boat, operating the Nonthaburi - Wat Ratchasingkhon route, will see its fare reduced from 20 baht to 19 baht as a flat rate. Similarly, the Yellow Flag Boat, which runs the Nonthaburi - Sathorn route, will have a fare reduction from 25 baht to 24 baht.

Additionally, for the Green and Yellow Flag boats, the fare for the Pakkret - Nonthaburi route has been reduced from 18 baht to 17 baht, the Nonthaburi - Sathorn route from 25 baht to 24 baht, and the Pakkret - Sathorn route from 37 baht to 36 baht. The Red Flag Ferry, an air-conditioned service on the Nonthaburi - Sathorn route, will have its fare reduced from 34 baht to 33 baht.

In the event that oil prices fall again, the company will further reduce fares.
