Berlin: Charli XCX, the artist behind the hit album "Brat," addressed criticism via Instagram Story after attending an after-party in Berlin for the satirical documentary "The Moment," which was later linked to the Russian government.
According to Thai News Agency, Charli XCX clarified that neither she nor her team were aware of any alleged government involvement in the Berlin event. She used this opportunity to emphasize her stance against the Russian government's actions in Ukraine and expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
Previously, Charli had expressed her honor to participate in the Berlinale, known for screening politically charged films. However, the announcement that "The Moment" would be released in Russia led to backlash from fans who viewed it as economic support for Russia during wartime. This contradiction in her actions and statements continued to spark criticism.
