Phuket: Chatchart Sittipunt, Bangkok gubernatorial candidate number 9, has embarked on a unique campaign initiative termed the "fire trip," a 24-hour journey across the city. This campaign aims to engage Bangkok residents by showcasing the city's dynamic life both day and night and encouraging voter participation ahead of the election on June 28th.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatchart and his team began this campaign at the Chong Nonsi Skywalk, planning to visit multiple key locations across Bangkok. The itinerary includes stops at the front plaza of Lumpini Park, Thonburi Fresh Market, and Siam Square. The team will also make scheduled returns to the studio for broadcasts and live streams via Facebook and YouTube, providing real-time updates and interactions with the public.
The campaign's objective is to emphasize the power of democratic participation and to highlight the policies that Mr. Chatchart plans to implement to create opportunities for Bangkok residents. Through this 24-hour campaign, he intends to meet with individuals working night shifts, visit 24-hour operational units, and engage with various community activities.
The event will cover all 50 districts of Bangkok, inviting residents to join, wave, or cheer as the team passes through their neighborhoods. Mr. Chatchart's recent social media post showing him getting a haircut signifies his readiness and enthusiasm for this marathon campaign, set to run from June 26th at 6:00 PM to June 27th at 6:00 PM.
