Chatchart Sittipunt Campaigns Across Key Bangkok Locations

Bangkok: Chatchart Sittipunt, candidate number 9 in the Bangkok gubernatorial race, embarked on a campaign tour that took him through significant locations in the city, including Victory Monument, Asoke, and Khlong Toei. After completing his registration process, Chatchart commenced his campaign journey from Bangkok City Hall 2, traveling through Din Daeng intersection to Victory Monument. Upon arrival, he engaged with the public and inspected the ongoing skywalk extension project.

According to Thai News Agency, Chatchart highlighted in an interview that the original skywalk near Victory Monument was only half-completed, posing challenges for commuters, particularly due to the presence of several hospitals in the vicinity. He noted that pedestrians were forced to navigate narrow sidewalks and road lanes. During his tenure as Bangkok governor, he coordinated efforts to extend the skywalk project to Ramathibodi Hospital, thus enhancing accessibility. This project, he stated, was one of his proudest achievements, and he expressed his intention to replicate similar initiatives in other areas if elected.

Continuing his campaign, Chatchart utilized the BTS Skytrain, emphasizing the role of public transportation in addressing traffic and pollution issues. His itinerary included a visit to the Asoke area, where he interacted with residents at Ruam Sap Market, distributed campaign leaflets, and made visits to the Duang Prateep Foundation and the Khlong Toei community.
