Bangkok: Chatchart, the Bangkok gubernatorial candidate, participated in the "Run Like a God 2026" event. Despite it being a public holiday, Bangkok gubernatorial candidates were actively campaigning, with Chatchart taking part in this significant event.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatchart Sittipunt, Bangkok gubernatorial candidate number 9, woke up early to participate in the event organized by Thepsirin School and the Thepsirin School Parents and Teachers Association. The "Run Like a God 2026" commemorated the visit of His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII) to the Yaowarat area following the conflict between Thais and Thai-Chinese 80 years ago.
This morning, Mr. Chatchart, wearing BIB number 9, engaged in a 10-kilometer run through historically significant areas of Bangkok, including Yaowarat, Sampeng, Talat Noi, and Phra Nakhon. This route reflects the historical importance of the royal visit that helped mend the rifts between Thais and Thai-Chinese people in the past and also highlights the cultural heritage and community presence that are still visible today.
