Chelsea Eyes Bold Moves for Henderson and Welbeck

Bangkok: Chelsea are close to reaching an agreement to sign veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson from Brentford to bolster their midfield, after negotiations between the two parties have progressed significantly. Chelsea have altered their summer transfer strategy, focusing on bringing in experienced players to guide their fiery youngsters at Stamford Bridge.

According to Thai News Agency, after missing out on Granit Xhaka, the Swiss international midfielder from Sunderland, the Blues have turned their attention to Henderson, who has been given free transfer permission by Brentford despite having one year left on his contract. Henderson is currently recovering from a broken left arm, adding a layer of complexity to the deal.

In addition to Henderson, Chelsea are also pursuing Danny Welbeck, the veteran striker from Brighton and Hove Albion, to bolster their attack. By targeting these seasoned players, Chelsea aims to blend experience with youth, potentially offering a well-rounded squad for the upcoming season.
