Chiang Mai Welcomes Over 220,000 Tourists for Songkran Festival

Chiang mai: Songkran festivities in Chiang Mai are starting to liven up. The atmosphere of the Songkran Festival tourism, or Pi Mai Mueang (Thai New Year), at Tha Phae Gate and at important temples in Chiang Mai city is lively as tourists begin to arrive.

According to Thai News Agency, Chiang Mai Airport reported that over 220,000 tourists visited Chiang Mai during the Songkran Festival. The influx of visitors has contributed to a vibrant celebration across the city, with key locations such as Tha Phae Gate and local temples bustling with activity.
