According to Thai News Agency, the baby hippo, affectionately named "Nong Som Poi" through a public voting process, is at an age that draws much attention from zoo-goers. The excitement is not limited to Chiang Mai Zoo, as Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi also boasts a popular hippo named "Moo Deng." Both zoos are witnessing an increase in visitor interest, thanks to these beloved hippos.
