China and Thailand to Address Travel Advisory Concerns

Bangkok:China and Thailand are set to discuss the implications of a recent travel advisory issued by China concerning travel to Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, Sihasak expressed hopes that the Chinese government will caution its citizens about instances of "China deceiving China." He plans to initiate discussions with the Chinese ambassador, emphasizing that the travel advisory should not target specific groups of tourists as a solution.

Currently, no discussions have taken place with the Chinese Ambassador to Thailand. The issues appear to be related to a distinct group, not the typical Chinese tourists. It is crucial to determine whether these individuals are in Thailand for work or leisure. Sihasak stressed that the Chinese government needs to alert its citizens and establish more effective systems, as resolving these issues requires bilateral cooperation.

The advisory is part of an organized effort to ensure the safety of certain individuals and does not affect the general Chinese tourist population or other international visitors to Thailand, who are reportedly facing no issues.

Sihasak highlighted the importance of collaboration between the two countries. He intends to engage with Chinese authorities to address the matter comprehensively, focusing on identifying the specific group involved and understanding the mechanisms of deception. He noted that merely issuing an announcement is insufficient to resolve the underlying issues.
