Chinese YouTuber Assaulted and Robbed by Fellow Countryman in Pattaya

Pattaya: A Chinese YouTuber was assaulted and robbed by a fellow countryman early this morning in Pattaya, with a local Thai citizen coming to his aid.

According to Thai News Agency, Pattaya City Police officers received a report at approximately 5:10 a.m. from a concerned local that a Chinese tourist had been attacked in Soi Thepprasit 6/1, Village 10, Pattaya City. Police quickly coordinated with patrol officers to investigate the incident.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found 37-year-old Mr. Li Hailong, who had sustained multiple injuries. His lips were cracked and bleeding, his right eye was bruised, and he had abrasions covering his body. Mr. Li informed the police that he was a YouTuber and had met two fellow Chinese nationals at an entertainment venue. Subsequently, they took him to a car, stopped in a secluded alley, and assaulted him. Despite his pleas, they showed no mercy, stealing one of his mobile phones and leaving him injured before a local resident came to his rescue.

Ms. Buayen, the good citizen who assisted Mr. Li, recounted that she was passing by on her motorcycle when a foreigner urgently called for help. After stopping to inquire, she learned he had been attacked and promptly contacted the police.

Police officers initially transported Mr. Li to a hospital for medical treatment and urged him to file a formal complaint with Pattaya City Police to ensure a thorough investigation and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
