Chulabhorn Hospital Launches AF Virtual Ward During World Heart Day 2025

Bangkok: Chulabhorn Hospital has announced its participation in the World Heart Day 2025 campaign, “Every heart is precious. Don’t wait until it’s broken. Listen to your heart before it’s too late.”

According to Thai News Agency, the Heart and Vascular Center at Chulabhorn Hospital held a press conference at their Cardiovascular Center to mark the occasion. The event featured the launch of a new service called the AF Virtual Ward, a remote care system designed for managing arrhythmias. This system allows doctors to closely monitor patients in their homes, aiming to reduce risks and improve the quality of life for individuals dealing with heart conditions.

The press conference, which took place on October 1, 2025, was organized under the theme “Listen to your heart before it fails – YES USE HEART FOR ACTION. Don’t wait for your heart to break. Listen to your heart… before it’s too late.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surasak Leelaudomlip, Acting Director of Chulabhorn Hospital, delivered the opening speech alongside a team of medical experts. The event aimed to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases and conditions, encouraging the public to adopt heart-healthy practices.

The initiative also showcased how the Heart and Vascular Center draws on the expertise of specialist physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver advanced heart care. The center utilizes modern technology to ensure equitable access to health services, aligning with the vision of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Srisavangavadhana, the President of Chulabhorn Royal Academy and founder of Chulabhorn Hospital.

In addition to the AF Virtual Ward launch, attendees were offered free heart screenings, with additional testing available for those with detected abnormalities. The hospital also encouraged donations to support patients requiring transcatheter aortic valve replacement treatments, which can be made to the Sri Sawangwattana Foundation under Royal Patronage at Bangkok Bank, account number 942-300099-2.
