Chulaphan Pushes for Understanding of Entertainment Complex Plans

Bangkok: “Chulaphan,” Deputy Minister of Finance, announced efforts to advance public understanding of the entertainment complex initiative, focusing on tourism and infrastructure investment rather than casinos. He highlighted the readiness of the House of Representatives to review the related legislation.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance, discussed the ongoing deliberations on the draft of the Entertainment Complex Business Act. He emphasized that the meetings are aimed at preparing public information aligned with plans prioritizing large-scale tourism investments over gambling. The initiative seeks to attract private investments, potentially leading to new infrastructure developments, large-scale convention centers, and amusement parks, signifying a restructuring of Thailand’s tourism sector.

Mr. Chulaphan reiterated that the Entertainment Complex Bill does not focus on gambling activities. The draft law is already on the parliamentary agenda and awaits consideration when the parliament reconvenes.
