Mae Chaem: CK Power Public Company Limited (CKPower) is continuing its Firefly Project for the eighth consecutive year, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and promoting sustainable community development. The project has recently delivered an energy-saving library building at the Mae Mu Border Patrol Police Learning Center in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province, focusing on renewable energy education and environmental conservation.
According to Thai News Agency, CKPower, one of the largest renewable energy producers in the region, has been implementing the Firefly Project under the concept of ‘Sparking Learning, Opening the Door to Sustainability’. The initiative aims to create knowledge on renewable energy and the conservation, protection, and restoration of natural resources. Mr. Thanawat Trivisvavet, Managing Director of CKPower, emphasized that the project aligns with the company’s CSR Strategy Framework (2022-2026), utilizing the expertise of its personnel in electrical engineering to benefit communities and environments around the power plants and remote areas.

More than 250 volunteers from CKPower Group contributed to the development of the area, enhancing its utility and promoting a conducive learning environment. The project has also modified the original library for educational purposes for grades 5 and 6. Since 2018, CKPower has constructed school buildings and residences for students and teachers, consistently supporting the education sector in various dimensions.
