Hat yai: The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) nationwide is mobilizing to clean up the city of Hat Yai, while residents continue to wade through mud to collect belongings damaged by floodwaters. Water levels in Khlong R.1 have dropped significantly, and roads along the canal have collapsed and damaged the entire length of the route. Houses are cluttered with garbage, and water and electricity are still not functioning. Many cars and motorcycles remain unmoved.

According to Thai News Agency, the DDPM is actively working to restore normalcy in the city. The focus is on clearing debris and repairing critical infrastructure. Residents are facing challenges as they attempt to salvage what they can from their homes, with efforts hampered by the lack of basic utilities. The situation is compounded by the extensive damage to transportation routes, which affects the mobility of people and goods in the area.
