Coach Park to Lead Thailand Men’s Volleyball Team Until 2027

Bangkok: The Volleyball Association has confirmed that Coach Park will lead the men's team until September 2027. Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, announced that the contract extension for South Korean coach Park Ki-won has been successfully completed. Coach Park will remain with the team until at least September 2027, under the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Volleyball Empowerment program.

According to Thai News Agency, discussions with the FIVB about extending Coach Park's contract aimed to continue the development of the men's team. The board of directors noted that over the past three years, Coach Park has made significant progress, particularly by leading the team to victory at the 33rd SEA Games late last year. The players and coaching staff expressed their desire for Coach Park to continue building the team, and this sentiment has been approved by the federation. The current contract is set to run until September 2027, with plans to reassess the situation with the federation at that time.
