Phetchabun: A cobra bit a 93-year-old woman while she was sleeping under her house, causing her to scream in pain and requiring immediate medical attention.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident took place on October 12th at approximately 12:00 noon in Ban Yawi, Wang Chomphu Subdistrict, Mueang District. The elderly woman, known as Thong, was resting on her bed under the house when a cobra, as thick as an arm, slithered onto her bed. The snake initially poked her finger, prompting her to move her hand slightly. Despite her efforts, the cobra struck her finger with such force on the second attempt that she shook it off and screamed in pain.

Her daughter, upon hearing her cries, quickly transported her to a hospital in Phetchabun Province. The severity of the bite necessitated Thong’s admission to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The family is hopeful for her recovery as she receives treatment.
