Chaiyaphum: A vibrant procession of monks carrying their ordination candidates on bamboo palanquins took place in Chaiyaphum Province, showcasing a colorful ancient tradition.

According to Thai News Agency, the event is part of the Poy Sang Long tradition, a summer ordination ceremony for novice monks. This unique cultural event draws attention to the spiritual and communal aspects of the ordination process, where candidates are carried in a grand procession, signifying their journey and commitment to monastic life.

In addition to the procession, the Tha Khan Tho Buffalo Contest was also highlighted, featuring top breeding bulls and cows. This contest is an important event in the region, emphasizing the agricultural heritage and the significance of livestock in local communities.
