Bangkok: The Commander of the 1st Army Area made a significant visit to personnel injured during field duties along the Thai-Cambodian border and in the Southern Border Provinces. Lieutenant General Worayot Leuangsuwan, acting on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, extended his support and monitored the recovery of these individuals at Phramongkutklao Hospital. He was received by Colonel Adisorn Lampaopong, Deputy Director of the 6th Military Academy.
According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant General Worayot inquired about the condition of 17 personnel injured from the Thai-Cambodian border conflict and presented monetary gifts to four individuals injured during security missions in the southern border provinces. The injured personnel are receiving treatment at Ward 13/1, Chalerm Phra Kiat 6th Cycle Building, and one individual remains in the Intensive Care Unit on the 7th floor of the Chalerm Phra Kiat Somdej Phra Nang Chao Sirikit Building.
The Royal Thai Army is committed to supporting its personnel and their families affected by security situations across various areas. Medical units have been instructed to provide optimal care and treatment, ensuring the rights, welfare, and rehabilitation of the injured personnel. This support aims to help them reintegrate into their lives with a good quality of life. Additionally, unit commanders have been directed to provide appropriate care for the families of those receiving treatment in hospitals.
